Dalby Forest Night Runner Race 1

Race start time 6:00 pm 

 

This race will be on a combination of single narrow tracks, fire  breaks forest trails and linking gravel trucking linking everything  through the forest. Head torch race is fun and challenging; don't forget  your sense of humour. You will get dirty, so be prepared. 

Pure Trail.

If  you don't have a head torch they can be purchased from stores or online  for around £15.00+ or just use a hand held torch if you wish.

Head torches WILL NOT be on sale on the night of the event

For insurance purposes the minimum age for this event is 16 years old on the night.

 The start and finish of this head torch race will be close to the main car parking area of the Visitor Centre. 

 

Due to the rural nature of our location, postcodes are not always  accurate when using SAT NAVS. Please always cross reference with a map.,  Dalby Forest can be reached via several routes from all directions.

Low Dalby Visitor's Centre YO18 7LT. 

FROM NORTH

Drive  down A169 until fork in the road (at Fox & Rabbit pub). Turn left  & drive for 2 miles. Turn left (sign to Dalby Forest) & drive to  toll booth. Show race no. (allows entry) & continue down road until  directed by a race marshal.

FROM SOUTH

Drive up A169 to  Pickering, over roundabout and continue along A169 for 3 miles (Fox  & Rabbit pub). Turn right, drive 2 miles, turn left (sign to Dalby  forest), drive to toll booth (show race no. for entry) and continue to  marshals.

FROM EAST/WEST

Drive down A170 into Pickering.  Turn left at roundabout (from west) or right at roundabout (from east)  & follow instructions as above (from south).

This  event will be restricted in numbers, due to parking resrictions in the  visitor centre car parks. If this number is reached before the event,  this has happened for the last 4years, we will close registration early.

There will be NO on the night entries at this event, whether the max number of entries is reached or not.

The  course will be marked with signs with reflective directional arrows.You  must not just follow the runner in front; No Ego staff are not  responsible for any wrong turns taken, but staff will try to keep you on  the right track.
