The City of Salford Women's Race

City of Salford Womens 5.25 Mile Run

The  Club has traditionally always had a strong women’s section and a  commitment to encourage women’s running.  As a demonstration of this,  the club joined together with the City of Salford to host a 5.25 mile  run.  Based on an idea from one of our club members, Marie Carvath, we  first held the event in 1991 and encouraged by the very warm reception  to the event from those taking part we have continued with the event  ever since. 

The route as been accurately measured by BAF (British  Athletics Federation) at 5.25miles and is recognised by the British  Association of Road Races (BARR). ​For safety reasons, the use of headphones is NOT permitted in our races​

Sunday 24th November 2019, Start Time: 10:30am

Please note this is a WOMEN ONLY run.

Registration at Swinton FC Clubhouse, Barton Road, Swinton, M27 5LJ.   Car parking available at Springwood Primary School, Barton Road, Swinton, M27 5LP.   Car Parking, Hot Drinks and Toilet facilities available. First Aid, Accurate Mile Markers. Sorry, the course is not suitable for wheelchair athletes.    Chip Timing race Computerised results available on the day. Route details available on www.swintonrunningclub.org.uk. Entries on the day up to race limit if available.    Race Limit 300.   For safety reasons the use of ALL headphones ARE BANNED from our races. 

Prizes for the first Three finishers and all Vet categories.

1 prize per runner, except team prize.
