Wesham Summer 10k Race Info
The Wesham Summer 10k starts 7.15 prompt. Please arrive early and park only where directed by the marshals. You must wear your number throughout the race on your front only. Do not forget your number or pins to attach it.
The race is run under uka rules. Runners are reminded of uka rule 240 S5 concerning the use of headphones. “HEADPHONES The wearing of headphones, or similar devices, (other than those medically prescribed), is not permitted in races on any single carriageway road that is not wholly closed to traffic. Headphones that work by conducting sound through bones and do not sit in the ears are acceptable.”
The race is well marshalled. Please follow the marshals instructions at all times and keep left unless instructed by marshals. If you get into difficulties please stop and seek help from a marshal.
There will be a drinks station at 5km. This is a simple low cost local race. There is no Medal or Memento at this race. However the Wesham 10k in November, our annual main event, offers both!
The Wesham Summer 10k Race Presentation will take place at the Smiths Arms Pub after the race.
Prizes will be award to the first 3 male and female finishers. There will also be prizes for first junior male and female, and all masters categories from M40 to M80+ for men and W35 to W70+ for women.
Results will be available on the results section of this website after the run. For safety of back markers, if you must leave early, please turn left out of the gates and follow the course. Your co-operation is appreciated. Please keep in finishing order in the funnel. Finally, the roads are still open so please be aware of traffic. Please stay on the left side of the road.
